Yoga Day Celebrations 2023-24

On 21st June, 2023, Chembur English High School celebrated International Yoga Day in association with Soroptimist Welfare Association and Zen Fitness Studio

The Resource persons Ms. Priyanka Tarun and Nihar Londhe from Zen Fitness Studio guided the students by conducting warm up exercises and all the students practiced and performed sitting and standing asanas. Importance of these asanas was also told simultaneously. The students thoroughly enjoyed today!

Yoga Day Celebrations 2021-22

Chembur English High School in collaboration with Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur virtually celebrated the International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2021 with much enthusiasm.

The online programme depicted the innumerable benefits of Yoga. The resource person, Ms. Mugdha Davane, a Masters in Yogasana explained to the students about the innumerable benefits of Yoga. She displayed various Yoga asanas like Suryanamaskara, Tadasana, Chakrasana etc. and the students followed her. The excitement of the children was palpable on screen as they geared up to celebrate the International Yoga Day. It was a sight to devour. The boundless peace of doing the asanas were visible right from the faces of the students. The students achieved a better vision towards life through yoga as it affected them physically, mentally and emotionally.

Our Principal Mrs. Preeti Pawar thanked Ms. Mugdha Davane and encouraged the students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Yoga Day Celebrations 2020-21

“Inhale the future Exhale the past”

International Yoga Day was celebrated virtually by teachers, students and parents on 21st June, 2020 at Chembur English High School. Various yoga asanas like Surya namaskara (Sun Salutation), Tadasana (Mountain pose & tree pose), Chakrasana (Wheel pose), Dhanurasana (Bow pose), Utarasana (Camel pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra pose) & Savasana (Corpse pose) were demonstrated online. Steps and benefits of each pose was narrated. Students and parents participated enthusiastically. Our principal Ms. Annamma Paul encouraged students to practice yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
